Our team
Michelle
Our resident optometrist, Michelle, has been practicing here for over twenty years. She has a special interest in Myopia Management.
In 2024, Michelle attended Glasglow Caledonian University to study Independent Prescribing. As a member of Lancashire Optical Committee, she updates the practice with current procedures.
Outside of work Michelle volunteers to coach children at a local swimming club. She enjoys swimming herself, participating in gym classes, and spending time with her husband and children.
Milan
Milan is our Dispensing Optician and has been for over thirty years. It is her pleasure to ensure patients are advised, to her best knowledge on both frames and lenses.
Our professional staff engage in regular specialised training. This enables Milan to dispense the latest lens design technology.
After work, a gym class is where Milan heads to and on weekends, she is fond of family outings.
Carole U
Having over twenty years experience in optics, Carole enjoys offering knowledgeable advice to our patients, in her Optical Assistant role.
Outside of work, she thrives in the land of amateur theatre. Prior to optics, she was a professional singer and dancer, working all over the North-West. She also taught dance to children in local schools.
Kate
Kate is an Optical Assistant and is our newest staff member. She has already completed multiple training programmes and is keen to enhance her knowledge.
At weekends Kate sings and plays acoustic guitar at local venues. She also hosts speed dating events and likes to spend time with their husband and their girls.
Both Milan and Kate are bi-lingual, which allows Gujarati and Polish speaking patients translation when required.
Carole S
Our Receptionist Carole joined the practice in 2007. The best part of her role, she says, is meeting and greeting patients. Most of them she knows by their first names!
In her spare time she appreciates spending time with her three grandchildren, who she adores. A perfect day off for Carole, would be heading to the Lake District for a long picturesque walk.
